Be Internet Legends:  Whole School Online Safety Assembly

The school participated in an online safety  presentation led by ParentZone.  All the children learnt about the 5 rules:

  • Be sharp and think before I share.
  • Be alert and check it’s real.
  • Be secure and protect my stuff.
  • Be kind and respect each other
  • Be brave and when in doubt, discuss.

Encourage your child to learn more about online safety using the free online game

Year 3 Baking Bread

Year 3 enjoyed baking their own delicious loaves of bread with Anthony Maxim from Kokura.  They learnt about the science behind the baking and got to take home the finished products!

Year 5 visit to RIBA

Year 5 have visited the art-deo headquarters of the Royal Institute of British Architects and explored the exhibition about the Bauhaus. Whilst there, they participated in workshops using digital technology and hands on model making.  Many thanks to all at RIBA and the parents who supported this great trip.

Iroko Theatre Visit

To celebrate the start of Black History Month, the children in years 3, 4 and 6 participated in a series of art, drama, dance, drumming and storytelling workshops led by the Iroko theatre company.  Parents and carers of children in year 3 were treated to an amazing performance that the children had worked on throughout the day.  Some adults even had a chance to try out some African drumming for themselves!
