At Rokesly Junior School we understand the importance of embracing technology and keeping children safe on line. At the beginning of each term children are reminded of the school’s Online Safety policy and how to keep themselves safe on-line both in school and out.   Every member of staff and the pupils fill in an acceptable use agreement.

The school has a safe network with a high filter setting which is carefully monitored and checked. The children are also educated in what they should do if they think something is not right. It is these discussions which we feel prepare them for the outside world and when they are online outside of the school setting.

Every year we have safer internet day and have sessions with parents in regard to online-safety at school and at home. The children’s safety is the most important factor at school and our commitment to it means our children are well equipped for any issues that may arise.

If you would like to discuss this issue please see Ms Georgiou who will be happy to talk about this with you. Listed below are a number of websites that parents and carers may find useful to assist them in keeping children safe online at home.
