Homework and Home Learning

HOMEWORK

Homework is set online each week via Google Classroom. It is set on a Friday and is due in on a Tuesday. To access the homework, click on the appropriate year group button below. If you do not have access to a computer, please inform your child’s class teacher.

Each week, your child is expected to complete a range of directed exercises:

In addition, the children should:

  • Read daily (recorded in the reading record)
  • Complete Times Table Rock Stars at least three times a week.

BBC BITESIZE & OAK ACADEMY

Remember, if you would like your child to go over any topics whilst at home during the holiday, the BBC and The Oak Academy (backed by the Department for Education) offer age-appropriate daily lessons for children.

BBC lessons are available on iPlayer and by using the red button on your TV.  BBC Bitesize lessons can be accessed here.

Use the Booktrust’s bookfinder to look for recommended books that suit your child’s age, tastes and interests.  You can also browse an archive of interviews with authors and illustrators, watch online storybooks, or see what has been recently published.
