Headteacher’s Welcome

I am delighted to welcome you to our dynamic, vibrant and friendly school. We specialise in teaching children from ages 7-11 and offer an exceptional and immersive learning experience. Our children are inspired by a rich, broad and diverse curriculum that is complemented by an array of enrichment experiences, within and beyond the classroom.

We have high expectations and academic aspirations for our pupils and this is reflected in our school motto ‘working hard, aiming high and learning together’. We have excellent partnerships with our parents as we work together to develop our young people’s social skills, resilience and emotional literacy that will see them flourish throughout their lifetime as lifelong learners.

Our dedicated team of teaching and support staff work ambitiously to deliver a tailored curriculum, ensuring that the individual talents and interests of all our pupils are discovered and nurtured. The opportunities are endless, from learning to play a musical instrument such as guitar, trumpet, clarinet or violin to learning French.

The physical and mental wellbeing of our pupils are paramount: we are a healthy school and offer a wide range of extra-curricular clubs and sporting activities including dance mindfulness, tag rugby, dodge ball and multi sports.

Our pupils also benefit from educational trips and visits and take part in adventurous outdoor activities.

Our involvement in cutting edge projects and initiatives allows us to provide aspirational experiences for our pupils to develop their life skills: confidence, self-belief, independence and resourcefulness. We are actively involved in community, cultural outreach and national projects and we regularly host visitors from the arts and creative world including poets, artists, actors, illustrators, chefs and even the former Children’s Laureate.

Our pupils have shared their ideas with the Mayor of Haringey, been pioneers as part of a nationwide architectural learning programme with the Royal Institute of British Architects and won national and local competitions.

Our strong transition and induction programme supports our pupils as they move seamlessly from the successful and popular Rokesly Infants, located in the same spacious grounds, and then on to high quality local secondary schools equipped with the skills, knowledge and experiences for future success.

We have been established for almost 70 years and are a happy, high achieving school where our pupils thrive and are excited to learn and grow; we know that their thirst for learning stays with them throughout their lives.
